A while back I bought a  LC-100A coil and capacitor meter on the internet.

This meter works fine. It is powered via 5V or USB.

The meter is supplied without a housing. This is not practical.

That's why I decided to make a case so that the meter looks more like a multimeter.

I designed a box that I could cut on the laser cutter. I also made a frame in which I could unscrew the screws from the lid. Then I had to think about the powersupply.

I solved this like this: an 18650 battery with usb charger. After some testing, the 3.8V of the battery turned out to be insufficient to make the LC meter work. This was easily solved by adding an up-converter.

I also disconnected the display from the motherboard. Everything was reconnected with Dupont wires.

On my CNC machine I milled a nice front plate.

I now have an LC meter that is easy to use.
